Consistent Care That Prevents
Expensive Problems

Arizona pools drift fast without consistent care. Weekly service keeps water clean, equipment protected, and your pool swim-ready all month.

What We Handle Every Visit

  • Water testing and precise chemistry balancing
  • Surface skimming, wall brushing, and basket cleaning
  • Equipment checks to catch failures early
  • Filter pressure check and backwash as needed

Why Weekly Service Matters

Arizona's heat accelerates chlorine burn-off, algae growth, and mineral scaling far faster than cooler climates. A pool left even two weeks without proper chemical management can turn green. Weekly service keeps chemistry dialed in before problems start.

  • Prevents costly algae treatments and green pool recovery ($300-$600 savings)
  • Early equipment failure detection saves thousands in repair costs
  • Pool is always swim-ready: no prep, no surprises
  • Extends equipment lifespan through consistent maintenance
  • Frees your weekends: no more hauling chemicals or scrubbing walls

About Our Weekly Pool Service

MAKO Exclusive has been running weekly pool service in Arizona since 1998. We're a small, owner-operated team built around one idea: the same technician should service your pool every week, learn its quirks, and notice things before they become problems. That's how you actually keep an Arizona pool clean for the long haul. Rotating crews, contract services, and 15-minute "splash and dash" routes are a major reason so many pools end up needing green pool recovery two or three times a summer.

Every visit starts with a real water test, not a dipped strip. We check pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, free chlorine, cyanuric acid (stabilizer), and total dissolved solids. Then we adjust whatever's out of range, brush the walls and steps, vacuum the floor where needed, empty the skimmer and pump baskets, and check the filter pressure. Before we leave, we walk the equipment pad: pump prime, filter PSI, heater status, salt cell condition, and any leaks or noises that shouldn't be there. If we spot something, we tell you that day, not three weeks later when it's failed.

Why Arizona Demands Weekly Service (Not Bi-Weekly)

In a temperate climate, you can stretch pool service to every other week and the chemistry will hold. In Scottsdale, it won't. Arizona summers regularly exceed 110°F, and at those temperatures, free chlorine breaks down within 24 to 48 hours of being added. UV intensity here also degrades cyanuric acid stabilizer faster than the national average, which means the protective layer that keeps chlorine from off-gassing is constantly thinning. Add in monsoon storms from July through September, which dump organic debris and tannins into open pools overnight, and a 14-day service interval simply isn't enough.

Water hardness is the other factor most homeowners underestimate. The Central Arizona Project (CAP) water that feeds most municipal systems in the Valley runs high in calcium and total dissolved solids. Left unmanaged, that builds scale on heater elements, plaster waterlines, and salt-cell plates. Weekly chemistry adjustment with the right calcium and pH targets prevents scaling before it forms; once it's there, removing it requires acid washing or replacing components. Weekly pool maintenance isn't a luxury here. It's the cheaper path.

What Makes Our Service Different

A few things are non-negotiable for us. First, same technician every week. You'll know the person walking through your gate, and they'll know whether your pump always whines a little when it primes or whether that's new. Second, real chemical testing. We use Taylor reagent kits or LaMotte spin photometers, not test strips, because strips drift fast in Arizona heat and they don't measure stabilizer accurately. Third, a written service report after every visit with the chemistry readings, what we adjusted, and any equipment notes. No mystery on what you're paying for.

We're also a Pentair Certified Dealer, which means we can install and warranty qualifying Pentair equipment (variable-speed pumps, salt cells, heaters, automation) with a 3-year parts-and-labor backing. When weekly service uncovers something that needs to be fixed, we do the pool equipment repair ourselves rather than handing you off to a sub. Pump, filter, heater, and automation work all happens under the same roof.

Pricing, Scheduling, and What to Expect

Our weekly pool service in Scottsdale starts at $90/month for chemicals-only on a standard residential pool. Full-service plans (chemistry plus surface cleaning, vacuuming, brushing, and basket emptying) are priced based on pool size, surrounding landscape (palo verdes and mesquites drop a lot), and whether you have a spa or water features. We provide a free written quote after a brief site visit. There's no diagnostic fee and no obligation to sign up after the quote.

Most new clients are on a weekly route within a week of the initial visit. We service Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM, and we don't require contracts. Month-to-month is the standard arrangement, which is how it should be for a service business. If we're not earning the work, you shouldn't be locked in.
